I wonder if we could make a new branch on the project to start working on the new features of Minecraft 1.8. I'm not speaking of any zero-day features but features that have been well implemented since the first 1.8 snapshot.

I know as well that we barely finished 1.7.9 yet but the development of Minecraft goes very fast and I think we have to try to keep up.

I don't think we need a separate branch for that.

but we need some kind of tracking for the changes. And also we need a finalized version of the 1.7.9 server.

Seems like a milestone for organising issues would do fine.

Yeah that's what I thought of. But I mention that people want to download a server for their version of Minecraft and not an allrounder, so we might need to create something where they can download the 1.7.9 server and something where they can download the >1.8 server.
