It's because the wool colors are represented by the item 'health' just like the tools have a health bar, wool has colors. MCServer does not support item health fully yet, so items that rely on its health (dyes, wooden logs and wool) may behave unexpectedly.

I was just making sure it wasn't a bug from some plugin I have. Yeah I realize it's item health, I use a modified version of your Core.item function which allows me to pass on that param and more then one stack (Which you should do! Because I hate /give for that very reason!
). I was wondering why it really wasn't working...now I know.
