RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - bearbin - 02-04-2014 Although ATM, the old protocols don't actually really work, so there's not much point keeping them around. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - tonibm19 - 02-04-2014 Why don't cut but keeping 1.4.7, 1.5.2 and 1.6? I suppose there are not many issues with them. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - SamJBarney - 02-04-2014 Quick question: Why do you use the old versions? Is it just for the mod support? RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - tonibm19 - 02-04-2014 I sometimes use it for mods. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - xoft - 02-04-2014 I have old worlds in the old versions that I don't want to migrate (due to generator changes) RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - NiLSPACE - 02-25-2014 Mojang will release Minecraft 1.7.5 tomorrow: https://mojang.com/2014/02/minecraft-1-7-5-and-realms-to-nordic-countries/ They also already know that there will be a 1.7.6 eventualy. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - NiLSPACE - 02-26-2014 I asked Dinnerbone if the protocol will change and he responded ;D https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/438412268553121792 RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.4) - tigerw - 02-26-2014 I'm addressing you as Mr. Breuker henceforth. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - NiLSPACE - 07-10-2014 Todays snapshot contains this change: "Servers can now customise network compression in server.properties" I'm curious if this is chunk compression or all the packets. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - xoft - 07-10-2014 I suppose network compression means in the chunk packets, nothing else makes sense - you'd have a lot of lag if you compressed other data, and the other data is not that much compressible anyway. |
