RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - NiLSPACE - 07-17-2014 Apparently MC 1.8 is also going to be to performance update. They added a new feature that gives 5-10% more fps and they now have chunk rendering on a different thread which makes it allot faster: RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - xoft - 07-17-2014 Which is weird because I've tried the latest snapshot yesterday and unlike the previous versions it was really choppy on my machine. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - AntherusCraft - 07-17-2014 And the newest snapshots don't work with the mc-server... RE: New minecraft version. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - xoft - 07-18-2014 I do have the latter one, 14w28b, and I get 15 fps, whereas in 1.7.10 I get 60 fps. RE: New minecraft version. Did you tried to increas the ram to something like 4GB? RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - NiLSPACE - 07-18-2014 They did the performance updates in 14w29a/b. How many frames do you get with that one? RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - xoft - 07-18-2014 I have only 32-bit OS, so 2GiB is the max RAM I can give to Java. I don't have 14w29a/b in my launcher. I guess I should restart it Yes, 14w29b has "fixed" the perf problems, smooth again RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - NiLSPACE - 07-18-2014 Did you also try the new button in the Video Settings? It should increase the frame rate 5 - 10%, but it crashes on my laptop. RE: New minecraft version. (1.7.10) - xoft - 07-18-2014 It doesn't crash for me, but doesn't work properly either - when I dig a block, the image of the block stays, although the block is gone. Then I can walk through the block's image and see underground. |
