Nah, it's not as powerful as a wiki. Also, the book has everything in a single page which would be very unorganized when we get more content.

But the book does have a TOC

RE: Dropping the GitHub wiki - NiLSPACE - 10-22-2015

Yes, but that doesn't make it organized. Lets say we finally document the world.ini file in there. (you can find an outdated version here). The TOC would get so incredibly big that the TOC itself would become unclear. You'd get
  • world.ini
    • [Plants] section
    • [Generator] section
      • Biome generators
        Height generators
        Terrain composition generators
        Finishers
        Fine-tuning
    • Examples:
      • Nether
        End
        Overworld
        Superflat
    • Physics
      • WaterSimulator
        LavaSimulator
        DeepSnow
        ...
      ...

and so on.

Make sections droppable ... like a spoiler on the forums

Actually, now that I think about it, I like the idea of keeping the user manual and dropping the wiki. The user manual is easier to maintain, better structured.

On the other hand, I am supportive of the GitHub wiki.

I would prefer github wiki. we don't have to maintain it, we can concentrate on the content.

- I plan to contribute to the wiki
