Minecraft UUID System - LO1ZB - 04-03-2014 Mojang is going to change the the (Player) name system to a UUID based system in MC update 1.8. All non-UUID server will be handeld as "offline" server. UUID stands for "Universally Unique Identifier" (Wikipedia). Also, every data/permission, that are based on "nicknames" will be unusable. As an example: My MC name: "LO1ZB" My UUID: "1295d99051854fada72c6031433a755b" I used this tool to get my UUID: https://forums.bukkit.org/threads/tool-mineuuid-find-out-your-minecraft-uuid.187571/ RE: Minecraft UUID System - xoft - 04-03-2014 Well, at least they'll finally push us into implementing HTTPS. RE: Minecraft UUID System - FakeTruth - 04-04-2014 Sounds like a great change to me RE: Minecraft UUID System - bearbin - 04-10-2014 UUIDs are in full force with 1.7.6 and have borked mcserver with a new protocol version. :O RE: Minecraft UUID System - xoft - 04-10-2014 Damn RE: Minecraft UUID System - tigerw - 04-10-2014 Selectively merge the egg and basil (yggdrasil) changes from Howaner? RE: Minecraft UUID System - xoft - 04-10-2014 Nay, those changes were too radical - he got completely rid of the old auth system; we need it kept. And we want a generic SSL client filter, not a hardcoded blocking one. |
