Client "192.168.1.69" uses an unsupported protocol (lengthed, version 5) - voncheeseburger - 04-12-2014

ok, so port 69 is me on my laptop running Minecraft 1.7.8 on debian 7.4.0, and the hosting server is my raspberry pi running MCServer downloaded today, on arch linux.
my sister on a windows 7 machine can access the server, but i cant. i checked the ssh feed on my pi and MCServer outputs this error [14:38:10] Client "192.168.1.69" uses an unsupported protocol (lengthed, version 5)
whenever i try to login. any ideas?

MCServer doesn't support Minecraft 1.7.8 because it just came out. Some weird stuff happened in the protocol, so I don't know how long it will take until we support it. xoft might be able to tell how long it will possibly take until 1.7.8 is supported.

We don't support 1.7.7 and later because mojang completely changed the user name system. See https://github.com/mc-server/MCServer/issues/771

1.7.6+ protocols are freshly supported now.
