Starting a hosting - Matthijz98 - 01-17-2015

I plan to start a minecraft server hosting it contains.
  • Based on MCserver
  • SSHD
  • DDOS protection
  • FTP access
  • MCserver webadmin
  • No slot limit
  • ?% Donation to MCserver developers

but still have some questions.
1. Who is interested parameters properly.
2. Are there things that would like to see you.

That would be awesome. It could be a cheap (or even free) hosting. I see one problem thought, unlike java you cant set a ram limit for MCServer.

You can limit RAM usage for MCServer by using system process limits on linux. Unfortunately the current implementation the server does not handle allocation failures well.

You can set the slot limit to the right amount, and unless there's a memory leak the server shouldn't break.

RE: Starting a hosting - Matthijz98 - 01-20-2015

I've found a way to limit the ram.
Saturday I will set up a test server to do a few test.
Would you love to have a VIOP (teamspeak).

Do you mean as in included with the server?

If so that's a good feature, but mumble is probably better because it's FOSS and takes less resources than TS.

This is the address of the test server.
I go in the course of the week doing tests and I invite you to stress test the server.
And I'm looking for an admin for this test server.(Send a PM)
And I'm working to change the webadmin.
