MCServer Mailing List - bearbin - 05-08-2015 I'm thinking that we should have a mailing list or some sort of push-style notification. So people could choose to subscribe and then get emailed important notifications and updates on MCServer. Does anybody disagree with this idea? Otherwise, I'll start getting it set up very soon. RE: MCServer Mailing List - LogicParrot - 05-08-2015 Now that we have a stable branch, we could announce new stable releases there. RE: MCServer Mailing List - bearbin - 05-09-2015 That's one of the incentives for creating one. RE: MCServer Mailing List - sphinxc0re - 05-09-2015 Why not make the Website a real Bog like Mojang has for Minecraft. We could publish things there RE: MCServer Mailing List - bearbin - 05-09-2015 I guess you could, but there still needs to be some type of push notifications instead of pull. I'd say that can come later, the mailing list first. RE: MCServer Mailing List - sphinxc0re - 05-09-2015 We could combine the two things. I think WordPress has a function for sending emails for every post you make. RE: MCServer Mailing List - bearbin - 05-14-2015 The mailing list now exists, please subscribe here: http://cube-mailing.nfshost.com/subscribe.htm BTW @xoft, can you put a CNAME from "newsletter.cuberite.org" to "cube-mailing.nfshost.com"? RE: MCServer Mailing List - xoft - 05-14-2015 Why not use the full name? "cube-mailing" feels too unofficial. RE: MCServer Mailing List - bearbin - 05-14-2015 It's just a shortname. Once you put the cname in I can change the url to the newsletter.cuberite.org RE: MCServer Mailing List - xoft - 05-14-2015 Alright, done. |
