Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - bearbin - 05-16-2015 I think the time has come to actually start this process. Here's a document with all of the steps that would need to be carried out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qzSE_UHeUHHKsa03I7AbA7oNKO0ZLV0dUcVB7FAX1g8/edit?usp=sharing If everyone's happy with it, this weekend I'm going to move all the repositories that are in the cuberite organisation ATM over to the mc-server repository ready for a rename in the future. This shouldn't cause too much disruption and no services should be impacted. We can progress with more changes in the future. RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - NiLSPACE - 05-16-2015 Wait.. I thought we weren't completely sure about the name. RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - tonibm19 - 05-16-2015 I agree RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - NiLSPACE - 05-16-2015 With who? RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - tonibm19 - 05-16-2015 With bearbin But not at all. I mean, I want a name change, but Cuberite doesnt like me a lot. Any ideas out there? RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - bearbin - 05-16-2015 The first bit of change is only preparing for #1464, and nothing more. From that issue it seemed that everybody seemed in consenus that the organisation should change name. RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - tigerw - 05-16-2015 To clarify: the organisation will be renamed to Cuberite, but the server will remain MCS. RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - jan64 - 05-17-2015 I don't really like Cuberite as a name, but i do agree that name change would be a good thing. RE: Moving MCServer to Cuberite Server - bearbin - 05-17-2015 The transfers I had planned for this weekend are cancelled, as they are unnecessary. |
