MCServer private dev survival server? - NiLSPACE - 05-16-2015

We all know MCServer has allot of bugs, especially in survival. So how about all the devs come together in a whitelisted MCServer and play survival? It allows us to find bugs, and have some fun while playing.

So first of all, are there people interested in doing something like this. If many people like the idea, then we need a place to host it. I could ask my dad for an old dual core laptop we have laying around, but I'm not sure if I can convince him.

I'm going to family in a few minutes, so I wont see the response until somewhere in the evening or night.

I could make justae.me.uk whitelisted. It's already a "developer testing server" on native's server list.

I already proposed this some days ago.
It would be fine.
If I hadnt lost my vps I would do it.

I just span up a new server that we could use.

cuberite-devserv.bearbin.net

I think the server should maybe run testing instead of master.
This way we could test "release candidates" and see if it can be stabilized.

Then you'll have a public testing server that is only open to devs. No point in whitelisting, then.

My idea was.
Master -> all new commits, features, bugs
Testing (server) -> We test them, if its working fine, proceed to release. If it doesn't, do some changes and retest on the server.

Anyway, it might be better to test master, as it is now.

how much resource would a server like this need ?
Got a quad core 8gb server at home, thats running 24/7 plan to run a ftb server on it, but might be able to leave some resource free if wanted.
not like its gone use all 4 cores..
