What server would be better for Raspberry Pi? - mrsimple7463 - 05-21-2017

Hi,

I just found Cuberite while I was searching for Raspberry Pi 3B Minecraft server.
Currently, I'm using Spigot on my server with friends (mostly 2-4 players right now, but hopefully 10 players in future)
And one of my friends playing in server more than me, so I gotta keep turn on my PC, but my PC takes 650 watts.

So my question is, Raspberry Pi 3B takes way less power than PC so I want to run server on Raspberry Pi 3B. Also I want to use plugins (Essentials, WorldGuard, ChopTree).
Which server would be better? Spigot or Cuberite?

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Depends on what you play. If you're after Survival, then Spigot is basically the only way to go, since Cuberite still pretty much doesn't have mob AI, and there's a lot of advanced gameplay features missing (enchantments, some potion effects etc.) If you play Creative, then Cuberite is definitely better - it's more performant and uses less RAM than any Java server.

(Note that these are my personal recommendations only)
