I tried the MarbleCaves with the DistortedHeightmap and the result is pretty cool:

I noticed that the metas in villages are sometimes messed up:

When I'm regenerating the chunk it generates properly again.

I've noticed that as well, it sometimes happens for an entire layer of the prefab (stairs facing the wrong way etc). Haven't found the reason yet.
