Well I thing I might just of hit a bug it clang. Whenever it executes a certain line it segfaults where all that line is doing is calling a function. gcc runs the line fine.

LO1ZB it seems like a bug in the chunksparsing, bad blockarea reading. Perhaps worktycho would like to see it?

There's no way that could be caused by the chunksparsing. BlockArea uses the coordinate methods for reading. Looks like a double free in blockarea to me.

This has never failed before. I suspect a buffer overflow while reading the BlockArea from the world. I'll have a look later on, possibly tomorrow.

Uhh...

I seem to have hotfixed the crash. I'd prefer a more performant solution, but for now it's good enough.

So it was the surrounding code. Stupidly didn't think of that. As for your patch its equivalent to the pre-cunksparsing code. But yes, a more effect solution would be good.

I had a crash. It seems a random crash but it happened when saving world.
I uploaded it so you can have a look and maybe make MCServer a little more stable . OS: Debian 7 x86_64 https://www.mediafire.com/?6yosxd06ocj2xh2
I'm writing a generic article about terrain generation in MCS and in minecraft generally. So far I have the biome generator covered. Tell me what you think:
http://mc-server.xoft.cz/docs/Generator.html (it's also in the repo on the GeneratorArticle branch, in $/docs) I guess i should scale down those hand-drawn images to half their dimensions. They look just too big. |
