Some semi-random thoughts on terrain generation
Gimme back my huge oceans, there's nothing like covering the entire ocean floor with glass and then hollowing out the sand underneath!

I really hope they'll finally include stained glass in the 1.7. I wanna be able to write a generator for villages that have cathedrals with my face in the stained glass windowsBig Grin

Somebody created 300 different worlds with the 1.7 snapshot. It may help getting the new features it in MCServer. http://imgur.com/a/mspTd#0

Nice. Although I'd have preferred one huge world so that statistics may be collected on it (just like my 50 GiB world)

I'm really curious about the biomes, how they're created and stored. If they are a combination of 2 factors (shape + foliage) or just a list of predefined combinations.
