much more responsive it seems then java version

Yeah it is, java tends to hog performance

although making a sign kicked me from the game everytime

There are a couple of bugs, this being one of them but im sure it will be fixed soon- http://mc-server.org/support

To bad im hosting a server already but i will keep an eye on this
