Because we all ( servers's admins ) need a real minecraft server software without java.

It's so ridiculous we can not create a good server with more than ~40 players on it with the offical java-server without overloading a fucking single core of the most powerfull CPU on the market...

A good coded server in C++ with multithreads + SSE intructions could allow about 200 or 500 players.
I know how to do SSE (not a pro though), but I don't think it's very applicable to a Minecraft serverTongue Maybe some small specific things.

- What do you think about the eventual possibilty to share it in open source in a near futur to be help by few devellopers ?
I think it's possible, but so far I've been doing fine on my own. I've already contacted someone about helping me though Smile

The chickens don't become friendly. The chickens follow you and stare at you. Ever seen the movie The Men Who Stare at Goats ? Yeah. They fuckin' stare at you until you die.

It depends on where you are. There are places you can dig all the way to the bedrock without finding any cave. The generation algorithm is however still in development.
