I've already lived through so many hardware failures, I have developed a gut feeling for them. I'd even recommend, don't bother with reviving that card. SD cards were never meant to work as HDDs, they can't take the wear-and-tear required from an HDD (that's what makes the main difference in price between SD cards and SSD drives - the storage is more or less the same, but SSDs have the wear-leveling allowing them to take the abuse; SD cards don't have that wear-leveling, because their primary purpose is to store pictures and videos, which isn't much of a wear)
