This is really weird. Does it happen regularly, or did it happen only once? Does the server work otherwise, can you connect to it from MC?
The only explanation that comes to my mind is that you've removed IPv4 support from the OS. MCS uses IPv4 sockets internally to provide synchronization for all the other external sockets. If that is so, does installing the IPv4 support fix the problem?
