How can i create a AMPLIFIED map
#1
Hi Guys,

im new in Cuberite and can anyone ask me how can I create an AMPLIFIED Map?

On the normal Vanilla Server it was easy, but here I don't understand it.

MCServer uses its own generator so you can:
-Test different configs in world.ini (cant help with that thought)
-Use a pregenerated world

Cuberite doesn't have a specific option that creates AMPLIFIED type maps, but you can mess around with the generator options in the world.ini.

I guess Cuberite's generator is more like the customized worldtype. You can configure almost everything, but unlike the vanilla customized world generator you can even use other biome, composition and shape generators. Even the finishers which you can also turn on or off have options that you can change.

If you want a amplified world you want to mess around with the BiomalNoise3D (assuming you still have the default settings) parameters, especially the BiomalNoise3DBaseAmplitude.

I tried a few configurations quickly and found something you might like:
Code:
BiomalNoise3DFrequencyX=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DFrequencyY=20.000000 BiomalNoise3DFrequencyZ=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DBaseFrequencyX=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DBaseFrequencyZ=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DChoiceFrequencyX=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DChoiceFrequencyY=20.000000 BiomalNoise3DChoiceFrequencyZ=40.000000 BiomalNoise3DAirThreshold=3.000000 BiomalNoise3DNumChoiceOctaves=4 BiomalNoise3DNumDensityOctaves=6 BiomalNoise3DNumBaseOctaves=6 BiomalNoise3DBaseAmplitude=4.000000

It's not exactly like AMPLIFIED, but I don't think we can achieve that with the current generator.

Can I create a new Amplified map in Minecraft Vanilla and copy the map into the server, or it don't work?
