It's getting worse. Really. Now I'm getting these all the time, and the CPU starts heating up.

Code:

So yeah, we already talked about this and it seems like people think it's due tue chunks not being loaded, but stuff still happening in there. No idea, personally, but -- whatever it is, this clearly cannot go on like this. It gets worse the more people connect and walk around. One of them told me yesterday that he gets a severe fps drop around spawn-town, when playing with shaders, and I do not know if that's related at all.

But this can't go on line this. Really, this used to work so fine for such a long long time. This machine pulled it of nicely (Pi 2). It still seems to work just fine, except the world loading seems to be a lot slower than it used to be months ago.

The only time I ever had a problem like this before was when I mass-populated the world with animals, throwing hundreds of eggs around. Still should not cause a problem that severe but I'm not doing that anymore. Still... what on earth is going on there? I have no idea of knowing because the server never tells me *what* entity in a format that actually really *tells* me where it is!

Please help us Obi-Wan!

Could you zip up your world folder and post it for me to test? PM me the link if you prefer not to go public with the world.

If I can't find anything in the world files, I'll try creating a pseudo-debug version that will log more information about those pickups. Are you able to compile your own executable, or are you using pre-built ones?

Yes, we need to change the way entities "tick", split the processing into several categories and only do processing in some categories if the entities are in a chunk that borders an unloaded chunk.

I'm using those pre-built ones, simply download the latest and greatest, unzip and good to go. Smile I tried compiling those a while ago with the script that had been made for this, but there were error messages and it never finished then.

Yeah I'll give you my shiny world. Hope it's not too large, that file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/olaa52qa5u9hkt...s.zip?dl=0

The logfile writing is more busywork for the Pi 2 than the actual server is, and it's only getting worse. Thanks so much for helping! :/ I'm desperate...
