Problem with 1.8 - 1.12
#1
I think that there should be a dedicated 1.8, 1.9, etc.. version of cuberite because I have a 1.8 Cuberite server, but when you craft a 1.9+ item, the client crashes because it can't find the item / block in the data, causing it to crash. Whether it is a plugin or different software, I want my players to not have their client crash whenever you accidentally craft the item.

i agree with you

i thank deeply cuberite staff for his work, but with a multi-version server i think is a little messy .... what will happen with a 1.8 - 1.12 sever, if a 1.8 client connects and then a 1.12 client gives him a 1.12 crafted item? ... or if a 1.8 client tries to craft a 1.12 item? ... i believe all these data must be supported client-side also

anyway... how did you "force" your specific 1.8 version server? .. i mean force 1.8 blocks, items, recipes, mobs, mechanics, everything the game works and not just block not-1.8 packets clients at login

Cuberite should have dedicated versions for 1.8, 1.9, etc., to prevent client crashes from crafting unsupported items on servers.
