Random Chitchat 2012-2016
I'm not sure if the world-limit is a feature that should be inside Core. It is something that not every server admin wants. How about moving it into a separate plugin?

there was a bug in the new /rank command where i forgot to change a variable i used in the webadmin version.
but now you mention it i could be a problem that it still generates new chunks. i'l look into it.

it can be turned off easily ofcourse but if it doesn't feels right you may put it into a seperate plugin.
EDIT:
but i was thinking that it was smart to put it into the core plugin since the Android version (can) automaticly has the core plugin.

We should add the capability to install plugins over the webadmin. But, man, that is difficult. Uploading files. Decompressing zip / tgz. Yuck, don't wanna do now. I'll stay with the world generators for a while.

Well then, keep it in Core, but have it disabled by default.

Also, make it possible to turn on movement-limitation, so that players cannot get closer than, say, 8 blocks from the world edge, if they get closer, teleport them back inside the perimeter. This way, even on laggy servers players shouldn't get stuck.

i also finished that part but i was thinking: should i add permission to bypass it, should a player get a message if he tries to move further than allowed? also i didn't do 8 blocks but 16 blocks becouse that is easier Wink

The Android version can come with any number of plugins packed into the apk file.
Place them into the trunk\Android\assets\basedir\Plugins folder, there's even a readme file in thereBig Grin

Also any other files that should be automagically installed on Android should be placed in the basedir folder (such as settings.example.ini, all other ini files and license files)

Does that mean that we have two copies of the plugins in the repository? That's bad. Can't it be made automatic to copy plugins from the normal ($/MCServer/Plugins) folder?

simple solution for the roof of the nether:
HeightGen=Flat
FlatHeight=255
and wow just wow. its extremely fast. it generates 377 chunks per second :O
its still not perfect though. also for the soulsand, is it not possible to take the oregeneration code and make it generate soulsand?

Yeah, that's why it's empty. You only fill that directory when making an apk.
Eclipse apparently can't do funky stuff with symbolic directory links and what not Sad Otherwise I would point it to the regular plugins directory

Really? Because for me it's about half the speed of the regular terrain (both in Debug mode). Did you use BottomLava finisher set to 30? I'm starting to feel that the fluid simulators are throttling the generators, so if too much fluid is generated, the generator performance drops as well.

In vanilla, soulsand generates a bit differently than orenests, it's making a thin layer over large areas instead. I think I'll come up with something reasonably similar.

However, I'm more missing the lava springs, the glowstone and especially the roof of the level being entirely covered in netherrack.

I'll make a new AnvilStats module for counting lava- and water-spring frequencies, but I'd need someone to generate a rather huge Nether world to run the scan on. I've got only a huge Overworld level (50 GiB, ~50.000 x 50.000 blocks), but I don't have the machinepower to generate another one for the Nether. Any volunteers? Smile

no its BottomLavaLevel=10 but i also noticed that i forgot to put the BottomLava finisher. without the finisher its 377 chunks per second and with BottomLava its 306 so that finisher uses allot of the generation power.
