They're values directly gettable, like variables:
local ExampleItem = cItem(E_BLOCK_WOOL, 5, E_META_WOOL_RED);  -- 5 red wool
LOG(ExampleItem.m_ItemCount);  -- "5"
LOG(ExampleItem.m_ItemType);  -- "35"; E_BLOCK_WOOL value
