Connecting with an IRC channel

Is it possible to use MCServer with an irc bot, so that Server chat goes to the irc channel and vice versa?

If so, how would I do this?

At this moment it shouldnt be possible as the socket support that is added to lua isnt working correctly.
When it does you could write a plugin that parses everything and sends chat to the server and ofcourse back.
