I do like the idea of a thread explaining what Core does.
A thread might be better than a Wiki entry because all plugins go in this category, a Wiki entry would be easily overlooked.
I guess the download should be removed though.

Also, some bold text across the top saying it's already included would be good too.

Unfortunate thing is, the post can be edited only by you, but now there's quite a lot of other people contributing to the Core. Might be better to just replace everything with a link to a wiki page. Already the post is very very obsolete.

I've started working on the webadmin. I realy like the result I have with the manage plugins webtab. Not only does it detect wich plugin is active and wich is disabled, it also sees if there is an plugin not loaded even though it should be:[attachment=391]

Oh and maybe the fact that everytime you move an plugin the server has to be reloaded, but that can't be avoided.
