RE: Trying to fix this for kids, can't log on using other computers - bearbin - 04-19-2014 AFAIK MCServer does support 1.7.9. Are you sure you are not using a snapshot on the mac? RE: Trying to fix this for kids, can't log on using other computers - xoft - 04-19-2014 Quote:[09:59:30] Client "127.0.0.1" uses an unsupported protocol (lengthed, version 5)Version 5 is protocol used by 1.7.9; so you aren't using the latest MCServer version. 1.7.9 support has been coded on April 15th. If you're downloading the windows nightlies (from http://mc-server.xoft.cz ), take note that the packages there are sorted by date ascending, so you want the last one, not the first one ![]() I really need someone to make the web for me, so that the downloads aren't this chaotic. RE: Trying to fix this for kids, can't log on using other computers - bearbin - 04-19-2014 Why not simply amend the script to make one file that's called mcs-latest.zip, and also copy it to a dated one. Then, you can set the link to point to latest, and a seperate link to the dated list. RE: Trying to fix this for kids, can't log on using other computers - xoft - 04-19-2014 I don't think FTP supports remote copying. Anyway, this is a discussion off-topic. I'd like to hear from @timjordan what his results are. |
