RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - FakeTruth - 04-25-2011 This site will show you your IP address: http://www.whatismyip.com/ RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - BobJoeTom - 04-25-2011 Thank you and you are the best What happens if it wont connect to that IP RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - FakeTruth - 04-26-2011 What are you exactly trying to do? Do you want to run MCServer on your own computer? If so, type in as the server address: 127.0.0.1 or "localhost" (they are both the same) RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - BobJoeTom - 04-26-2011 Thank you so much....you should be nominated for something But the big commands can only be used by me right but what is with the leaves, when i hit them i get a leaf does that happen with other players on that server also why are there only chickens and no water I just notice that this is still in development right??? I have one other thing this server program now has my IP and if I try to run a server it wont work because this server "MC_Server" already has it or owns it what do i do how do I erase the MC_Server server??? and stop it from using my IP how do i take off the IP from the MC_Server and erase that server? More Simpiler: This Program uses my IP... I dont want that because I want my IP to run on a different server. RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - FakeTruth - 04-26-2011 Yes, it's still in development. I don't know what this "MC_Server" is. Do you get any error message(s)? If so, can you post the exact message(s)? RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - BobJoeTom - 04-26-2011 WhenI try to run the other server with my IP it says that it uses by another Server and yes i do get error messages like below: [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port? "MC_Server" is not the name of the program used to run this server? RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - FakeTruth - 04-26-2011 Find and open the file "server.properties" Then search for the line that says Code: server-port=25565 Then change the number 25565 to some other number. If you want to join that server, and you set the port to eg. 1234, be sure to append :1234 to the ip. It will look like this (replace 1234 with the real port): Code: localhost:1234 RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - BobJoeTom - 04-26-2011 All what I want is for the sever I got from here uses my IP and i dont want that server because i found a different program but when i use my IP on that server it doesnt let me because my IP is used/run/connected/or being used by Your program and i dont want that oh thank you but i cant find taht file with this program some how but i can find it with the other ill try to find it but what happens if that server got deletted........... and that server still uses my IP.... do i redownload the soft ware and then change it also it doesnt show server property file either I got into a big mess and the software got deleted and i cant get the original server back RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - FakeTruth - 04-26-2011 lol If you close all server software, and start one again, all should work. Both servers don't hang on to your IP/port after they are closed, so I don't know what's going on there. RE: Starting new server, need a little help. - BobJoeTom - 04-26-2011 i feel like a made a "big boo boo" to me servay and i mean servay because i dont know what it means but when i figure it out i will use a different program to run a server but stay on this forum because i like it and i think this server software(some time out of develoment.....762 years.... it will be the best) hahahha legooo!!!! well if u dont see it i feel ashamed or.... i forgot the word sniffle i feel sad because the lego diddent show up because i preessed the bottom above the text box and it diiddent work |
