I think the shortest crashing is

int main;

"main" is the entrypoint and is called, but its not a function, but a variable, located in Non eXectuable memory space, so segmentation fault

I don't think that will compile in MSVC 2008, the compiler knows what the main() function is supposed to look like and will at least warn you if you don't have it right.
