Pinging....

I've had a test server running perfectlyish for a good few weeks, but over the last few days, whenever I try to connect to server, minecraft client just says pinging, and the server says unsupported protocol. I've tried connecting using windows and linux, but no joy. Has the client updated lately I'm wondering?

Yes, client updated to 1.7.7, which is unsupported (because of mojang being silly and removing usernames).
