actually it's NOT running at my home, it's at OVH in Roubaix, France

but btw I also got results much lower, it could be that the server was stronger than speedtest.net... is there actually a service to test the speed of a server standing in a data center?

I have 100 MBit and I was impressed, when some people have same problems. It is not so simple as you think. And, i Think, it is flood in the thread.

Actually, I quite dislike tele-conferences, I've got enough of them at work. I'd prefer a real life event. Get a vacation, travel a bit, meet with people, do a bit of sightseeing...

Yeah I would like that, too. I really would like to meet you all in person but in the past we saw that this is not really possible for the most of us. SO the best solution for everyone would be to just meet online in a TS meetup. But, xoft, you could come over to Germany if you like. Yeah like a 'dancing vacation' plus the Cuberite coding stuff Smile

What about the people who CAN vacation do that, and the people who can't join in on a call for some pseudo-LAN parties?

I thought about that, too. Making a mixture of vacation meet-up and tele-conferences around the world would be the best thing to do I think. Are most of our people from inside Europe? Then we could meet in Germany. I'm member of a nearby hackerspace where we could code. They have rooms for conferences.

I think most of our contributors are from europe. I would like to come to a meetup in theory, but I don't think I will be able to in reality.
