Feature-complete?

How feature-complete is MC-server compared to the official version?

No potions
No minecarts
Missing crafting recipes
No enchanting
Mobs suck
Redstone half working

No drowning underwater
Beds don't do anything

And many more little things are missing

Is there some sort of a complete list, also with working parts? May be fun for me trying to implement one or two things (in C++ or in the form of a plugin). It is easier to help if there is some sort of 'official' up-to-date list of features which are implemented, and which are not.

I have no desire to do 'a lot', but it might be fun to implement one or two things during weekends.
Are there any chances that plugins are added to the official 'downloads'?
