The page looks horrible now, too dispersed and off-center. See the attached image.

I had a first look at the website after quite a long time and I have to say I don't like the layout much. It feels too cramped together, the headers are not far enough from the previous sections so it all just mixes up into one big ball of confusion.
I'm on a 1920x1200 screen, so it may be an issue with larger screens. Have a look:
Well, tiger just pushed a new design! It's great. Please don't mess it up
One suggestion for Tiger: remove the download icons and make the os icons download the file. (04-16-2014, 06:51 AM)bearbin Wrote: Well, tiger just pushed a new design! It's great. Please don't mess it up Yeah I was kinda disappointed to see the old design gone, but I do like the new one. On the tip, I would keep the download icons (so it's clear what it does), but also make the OS icons clickable. I got my own tip, instead of using tables use a div so when your browser window is narrow the two blue areas are moved below each other instead of next to each other. Other than that I like it
I have to say I like the new design, too, with the tips already mentioned. Good job.
I think I've found the reason why the client crashes while connecting to the server. The server is sending a Ping packet too soon, it seems. I'll try to trace it more.

It seems I have fixed the issue, I cannot reproduce the client failure anymore after 99e4225269776d4e79b7d0d14dc8bbe11a2ad32d. Can anyone confirm / disprove?

Nope, the fix doesn't fix the issue. I got the exception just now from the Gallery server.

Probably won't be contributing anymore, any time soon. Lots of work to do elsewhere!
Found a better server to contribute to? Or you finally got fed up with my disagreements?
I'd like to ask everyone who builds their server in debug mode to help me hunt down #889. I've committed changes that will assert if the protocol misbehaves, I'd like you all to grab commit 09866bb382cde2fda6fb3ebcf0c71d49ae6e3429 (in master now) and try it out for a while - can you connect using any 1.7 client? In both online and offline modes?
