I think the project is ready for promotion to plugin developers and C++ developers, but not to end users just yet.

I'm with bearbin. If we promote too early, the users will try, see that they don't like it, and we lose them forever. We need to be more feature-complete before we go big.
As for what is missing, I think the complete survival experience needs to be done before promoting. This means:
- complete the enchantments and their effects
- overhaul the AI to become challenging
- fix monster spawning rules (no more green sheep)

Plus we need to fix major game-breaking bugs (world corruption, no diamonds, 100x too many monsters etc) before we can really release.
